Woot woot!!!

March 15, 2010

From the WaPo breaking news blog (thanks CJ):

The next season of Bravo’s hit “Top Chef” is set to be taped in Washington this spring, sources say. The reality competition show — about to enter its seventh season — has boosted the careers of local chefs such as Carla Hall, Spike Mendelsohn and Bryan Voltaggio.

There was a sizable local presence on the show last season, with Zaytinya’s Mike Isabella; Bryan Voltaggio, chef-owner of Volt in Frederick; and Michael Voltaggio, Bryan’s brother, then at the L.A. restaurant of Washington’s José Andrés.

Washington’s Carla Hall made it to the finals the previous season, as well. And Spike Mendelsohn has opened Good Stuff Eatery on Capitol Hill.
